Whether you want to make a difference for a rider with special needs, care for a therapy horse or help us expand our programming, every gift makes an impact in the lives of those we serve. Borrowed Freedom is a classic example of the strong non-profit ethic of “making hay while the sun shines!” We have shown the ability to be good stewards of donors’ support, making careful investments in riding equipment, safety gear and supplies that ensure the health and well-being of our riders and horses. We are a debt free organization and we grow as our budget and support allow

Borrowed Freedom is committed to providing access to our therapeutic equine-assisted services. All of Borrowed Freedom’s riders and students are supported by the generosity of individual donors, corporations and foundations. Borrowed Freedom does not receive funding from state or federal agencies and is not an United Way recipient. We are pleased to offer our supporters named recognition, logo advertising in web, print and social networking, and recognition during our fundraising and competitive events such as Special Olympics.
Gifts to Borrowed Freedom, an IRS Certified 501(c)(3) charitable organization (EIN# 27-0327968), are fully tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Borrowed Freedom is registered with NYS Attorney General’s Charities Bureau. A donation of any amount will directly benefit our program and our ability to provide services at no charge to our students.
